Ridgewood residents may not feel rich but according to Money Magazine we are a town filled with Top Earners.
In Money Magazine’s July 2008 list of the 25 Top Earning Towns in the United States, Ridgewood ranks just ahead of Manhattan Beach CA and one spot behind Greenwich CT. Ridgewood was the only town in New Jersey mentioned on this list.
If Ridgewood truly is the 15th highest earning town in the US, I am glad to say we don’t seem to flaunt it. In my opinion, Ridgewood is better known for its family values, it’s top notch school system, its great downtown, its excellent sports and cultural programs and its beautiful (but not over-the-top) older homes.
What do you think? Does Ridgewood feel like one of the Top 25 Earning Towns?

Al, Thanks for bringing the article to my attention and congrats on your city making the list!
Three of our Silicon Valley communities also made the grade: Saratoga #4, Los Altos #6 and Los Gatos #19. (All are in “The Valley of Hearts Delight” but they only mentioned it for Los Altos.)
Good stuff!
Mary,
Thanks for your note. You had to point out that your towns beat mine. You Silicon Valley people are all so competitive. We are more laid back and relaxed here in NJ.
Talk to you soon.
