Ridgewood Pool Project Update

Preserve Graydon Coalition Makes Presence Known at Ridgewood Meeting

There is another fun Ridgewood Event coming up.  There will bee a showing of The Bee Movie at Ridgewood’s Graydon Pool on August 7th at 7pm.   Our boys really enjoyed this film the first time around.   Unfortunately, we are going to have to miss it as we will be at the beach on this date.  However, for those that will be in town, I strongly suggest heading down to Graydon Pool.   Think of a Drive-in-Movie but even better.

The admission fee is 10 bucks.  Make sure to bring something to sit on – beesides your bee-hind.  For more information call 201.670.5560.

4 Keys to a Great Ridgewood Party + A Secret Weapon

August 1st, 2008 categories:Ridgewood News and Events

My home in Ridgewood was recently the venue for my annual client appreciation party. I had a great time and, more importantly, so did my family, friends, colleagues and clients. Obviously, I love spending time with my friends and family but I have been lucky to be associated with clients and colleagues that I also love spending time with.

The best move I made in my Ridgewood Real Estate career was deciding from the start that I would only work with folks that I thought were honest, decent, nice people. I lost a few deals over the years because I deselected some clients and we’ve recently passed on hiring some Ridgewood agents that would have made our firm a lot of money. But, in the end, choosing only to work with good people makes for a much better quality of life. Which brings me to the first key to a great client appreciation party…

1. Invite Good People

This one is pretty obvious but you’d be surprised how many folks (in all types of businesses) continue to deal with folks they don’t like, trust or respect and it ends up making them miserable. We had over 200 Ridgewood residents at our party and I can honestly say I enjoy the company of every one of them.

2. Plan Some Fun Things For The Kids To Do

Planning some fun games and activities is nice for the kids and if the children are enjoying themselves it is easier for their parents to relax and have some fun with their friends.

4. Don’t Forget To Say “Thanks”.

If you are lucky, like I am, to have great family, friends, clients and colleagues make sure to tell them how much you appreciate them – not just at the party but throughout the year.

The Secret Weapon

This little Mighty Mister fan may be small but it blows off a cool mist that can reduce the temperature on my deck by 20 degrees. Admittedly, I love gadgets, but this is one that is truly worth the money.
