Ridgewood Home Values Increase in 2008

The Median Sales Price of Ridgewood NJ Homes Edged Up 1.8% in 2008 – Despite A Very Difficult Year in Real Estate

According to the New Jersey Multiple Listing Service, the Median Sales Price in Ridgewood NJ rose from $675,500 in 2007 to $687,500 in 2008. Clearly a modest increase – but an increase nonetheless.

Median Sales Price is just one way to measure the health of the local real estate market. The Average Sales Price in Ridgewood actually fell by 2.2% from $827,225 to $809,397. Regardless of which methodology you favor, I think you can safely say that prices in Ridgewood are relatively stable. Especially when compared to other NJ municipalities and/or other areas of the U.S.
