Al, I don’t know whether they are available online — I doubt it. But during the season they are posted daily outside the lifeguard station. I’m sure the Parks & Rec department has all the records. Imagine, perfectly safe and healthy water, and without massive doses chlorine.

Jim – That’s a great point. I never thought about the actual bacteria count – only thought about the more lax regulations. Are those test results available anywhere online?

The RPP keeps hammering away at the fact that Graydon is permitted to have a bacteria count of 200 ppm, or 200 times the bacteria count as a traditional pool. What they don’t tell you is that Graydon’s actual bacteria count consistently tests less than 10 ppm. Don’t believe me, check with Parks & Rec. Garden State Labs tests the water weekly and the results are posted at the life guard station. The water is perfectly safe and healthy.

Anna – This is an interesting point. Did you attend the meeting? Are you serious when you say the members of the Preserve Graydon Coalition are not members of Graydon?

One thing is for sure – only 7% of Ridgeood residents use Graydon. Of them, 100% support a better pool, because they use it.
The supporters of Preserve Ridgewood never use Graydon, only like the look of it.
